
Charles T. Nomides
Charles T. Nomides (Chuck) was one of the founders of Barrier
Therapeutics, an international pharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing products
in the field of dermatology. Chuck served as the Chief R&D Officer of Barrier Therapeutics from July
2002 to September 2007 and served on the Management Team. During this time, Chuck was responsible for
building and leading the R&D organization. As a member of the Management Team, Chuck assisted in taking
Barrier Therapeutics public in 2004.
Prior to joining Barrier, Chuck was at Johnson & Johnson for 22 years
where his focus was developing prescription pharmaceutical products across several therapeutic categories.
Just prior to joining Barrier Therapeutics, Chuck served as the Head of the Ortho Neutrogena prescription
drug development organization.
Over his 28 years in the pharmaceutical industry, Chuck managed or lead
project teams or R&D organizations that successfully developed eight products that are currently on the
market. In this role, Chuck obtained vast experience with the FDA. He organized and led FDA meetings
and oversaw negotiations. Chuck received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Clarion State University
and received graduate training from Temple University and The Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
Mr. Nomides is now consulting in the pharmaceutical industry as well as
volunteering his time on humanitarian efforts across the globe.
